Throughout the home, we focused on elevating the space through thoughtful materials, custom details, and layered finishes. In the kitchen, marble and black granite countertops create a striking balance of elegance and durability, complemented by a custom backsplash tile that adds texture and visual interest. Polished nickel plumbing fixtures pair with a mix of oil-rubbed bronze and brass hardware, bringing warmth and depth to the overall palette.
The dining space was enhanced with wallpaper and a carefully selected paint color to create a more intimate and inviting atmosphere, while custom picture molding was added to the two-story entry to introduce architectural character and a sense of arrival.
To unify the home, the existing hardwood floors were sanded and stained throughout, and new lighting was installed across all redesigned spaces to create warmth, functionality, and visual cohesion.
In the family room, a custom fireplace surround anchors the space as a focal point for gathering. Upstairs, the primary bathroom was completely reimagined with a large custom shower, marble floor tile, and refined finishes that bring a spa-like feel to the suite.
The expanded laundry room was designed to be both beautiful and highly functional, featuring new cabinetry paired with walnut butcher block countertops—adding warmth and durability to a space that now serves the needs of a growing family.
Our clients, a young professional couple, were at the beginning of an exciting season of life when we started this project. We were designing a home with the future in mind—one that would support both their careers and a growing family. By the time the project wrapped up, that vision had already become reality with the arrival of their two young boys. They wanted a home that felt polished and intentional while remaining warm, comfortable, and ready for everyday family life.
Our clients purchased a spacious home in a beautiful neighborhood, drawn to its size, location, and overall potential. While the home had great bones, many of the key living spaces felt dated and compartmentalized. The kitchen in particular featured outdated arches and awkward angles that disrupted the flow of the space, and the primary bathroom carried similar architectural elements that made the layout feel closed-in and inefficient.
As their family began to grow, functionality quickly became just as important as aesthetics. One of the biggest challenges was the small upstairs laundry room, which lacked the space needed to support a busy household. At the same time, the primary bedroom included a large but underutilized sitting room that wasn’t being used to its full potential.
Our solution was to thoughtfully reallocate space within the primary suite. By incorporating the unused sitting room area, we were able to create a much larger and more functional laundry room designed to support the needs of a growing family.
The renovation focused on reimagining several key areas of the home. On the main level, we redesigned the kitchen, mudroom, dining area, home office, and family room to improve flow and create cohesive gathering spaces. Upstairs, we transformed the primary bedroom, primary bathroom, and newly expanded laundry room to deliver a layout that feels both refined and highly functional for everyday living.
